Once Kaija confirms her availability, she will be pleased to meet with you to show you her portfolio of wedding photographs. During this initial consultation, Kaija looks forward to hearing all about the couple’s vision for their upcoming celebration. The bride and groom’s personal style and the mood they envision for their wedding are of paramount importance, so this consultation is an essential step in familiarizing Kaija with her clients.

During the meeting Kaija will discuss such issues as the scheduling of portrait shots, specific family members and guests to be photographed with the bride and/or groom, the types of pictures desired, and such practical details as time of day and its impact on natural lighting, etc. Clarifying these matters will ensure that Kaija successfully captures, on film, all those family and friends, moments and moods destined to be so meaningful to the newlyweds.

With a decade of experience in photographing weddings in the Greater New York metropolitan area, Kaija is completely familiar with many of the more elegant settings and facilities. However, if she is not already acquainted with the layouts of the ceremony and/or reception locations, she will visit and tour them.

By hiring Kaija Berzins BrausPhotography, you are assured of the artistic skills and talents of Kaija herself – one of New York’s most sought-after wedding photographers. An experienced assistant will accompany her throughout the day, and all necessary lighting and other equipment will be furnished. Kaija has developed her own unique, portable lighting system that enhances spatial dynamics and enables her to impart a sense of depth and dimension to her photographs, particularly those taken after nightfall.

On the wedding day, Kaija will shoot:

• 10 to 20 rolls of B&W film, 35mm format
• 10 rolls of color film, 35 mm format and
• 3 to 6 rolls of 2 1/4" color film for portrait shots.

After the above-described film is developed in her lab, Kaija will meet with the couple to present them with all of the color prints taken during the course of the wedding day, and to give them an opportunity to select 50 B&W prints.

The cost of Kaija’s services for the above-described activities and submissions is $7,000. Kaija will be pleased to assemble one or more customized wedding albums for an additional fee of $850 per album. Extra 5" x 7" prints are available at $25 apiece, and 8" x 10" prints at $50 apiece.

Please note that if the ceremony is to take place more than 50 miles from New York City, the wedding party is responsible for providing lodging for Kaija and her assistant for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding.
